About us

A couple of years ago, I noticed that my evenings all looked the same. I’d come home after a long day, sit down on the couch and immediately reach for my phone. What was supposed to be a quick break would often turn into hours of scrolling, and by the end of the night I felt more drained than relaxed.

I started looking for small ways to spend less time on screens and more time doing things that actually helped me slow down. That’s when I came across a tiny kalimba. I wasn’t a musician and had never played an instrument before, but there was something about its simple design and gentle sound that caught my attention.

When it arrived, I started playing a few notes in the evenings instead of opening social media. It wasn’t about learning songs or becoming good at music. It was about creating a quiet moment for myself. Over time, those few minutes became something I genuinely looked forward to. The soft sound, the simple melodies, and the feeling of being present helped me end my days differently.

That experience inspired Kalimberi. I wanted to share the same feeling with other people who might be looking for a small escape from the noise, the notifications, and the endless scrolling. Kalimberi isn’t just a musical instrument to me. It’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest things can bring the most peace:)
